A The National University of Singapore Yong LooLin School of Medicine és a Semmelweis Egyetem közötti bilaterális szerződés értelmében 5 magyar hallgató tanulmányaikhoz illeszkedően 4-hetes szakmai gyakorlatot végezhet Szingapúrban

2024. augusztus 5-től augusztus 30-ig

A pályázatot elnyert hallgatók az alábbi költségeket vállalják:

  • Kiutazás költségei
  • Egészségbiztosítás
  • Felelősségbiztosítás
  • Kint-tartózkodás költségei
  • Általános orvosi vizsgálat ill. oltások költségei

Pénzügyi támogatás

Amennyiben a Semmelweis Egyetem – a Tempus Közalapítvány által kiírt Pannónia Ösztöndíjprogramra – benyújtott pályázata pozitív elbírálásban részesült, a fenti pályázati felhívás nyertes hallgatói pályázhatnak az elnyert támogatásra a Pannónia Ösztöndíjprogram (https://pannoniaosztondij.hu/) feltételeinek megfelelően.

Tokyo Medical University 2024

Tokyo Medical University and Semmelweis University have entered into a student exchange agreement to provide a clinical rotation for two 6th year students.

from July 8 – August 2, 2024

Students are expected to cover:

  • Round trip air transportation
  • Health insurance
  • Personal travel insurance
  • Medical liability insurance
  • Living expenses, personal costs (meals, books, travel. clothing, etc.)
  • Cost of visa
  • Cost of general medical examination and vaccines

The aim of the rotation is to provide students with the possibility of participating in a clinical practice in a hospital environment.

Financing

In case the Semmelweis University’s application to the Pannónia Grant Program gets a positive result, the winners of the above call for application, will have the opportunity to apply to the Pannónia Grant according to the grant’s conditions (https://pannoniaosztondij.hu/)

Okayama University Medical School and Semmelweis University have entered into a student exchange agreement to provide a clinical rotation for three 6th year students.

from July 8 – August 2, 2024

Seoul National University 2024

Seoul National University and Semmelweis University have entered into a student exchange agreement to provide clinical rotation for two senior students (after the completion of the 5th year) 

 

Students are expected to cover:

  • Round trip air transportaion
  • Health insurance
  • Medical liability insurance
  • Accomodation, living expenses
  • Cost of visa
  • Cost of general medical examination and vaccines 

Period of clinical rotation: August 5 – August 30, 2024

Requirements for applying: (all documents are to be submitted in English)

  • Letter of recommendation from two different Heads of Department

A thorough knowledge of the English language is a must, knowledge of the Korean language and scientific work performed is an advantage.

Study in Houston, TX 2024

The rotations begin four times a year. The exact dates will be determined by HMAA at the beginning of May 2024. (Interview date: 4/17/24)

The purpose of the Program is to facilitate the exchange of medical students as well as expand the experience and knowledge between the involved medical universities. With this program the HMAA allows students develop improved medical knowledge and establish long term professional relationships, that in turn fosters improved healthcare in Hungary.

This program is sponsored and managed by the Hungarian Medical Association of America, HMAA.

Students may take the following electives

  • Vascular Surgery/Surgery
  • Anesthesiology/ICU

Please note that these electives are subject to availability at the time of the rotation.

Financing

Students are expected to cover:

  • Round trip air transportation
  • Health insurance
  • Medical liability insurance/Malpractice – Full  fee for students: 1000 USD
  • Meal costs
  • Housing
  • Cost of books, materials if required

Financial Support (not provided)

  • Pallas Athéné Innovációs és Geopolitikai Alapítvány (PAIGEO): estimated 1816 USD support (per person for 3 months based on the 2024-2025 academic year stipend) for maximum 4-6 (per academic year) of the Hungarian* students who participate in the Houston Exchange program (no need for additional application, the decision made by the HMAA based on the interview and application results). – ON HOLD

Eligibility: only for the Hungarian students from the Hungarian/English Language Program

Who can apply?

The program is open to students with the Hungarian heritage of all Hungarian medical schools. Medical students who are in their 6th year of education at the beginning of  September 2024.

Medical students with Hungarian heritage may apply from both the Hungarian and English language programs.

Only HMAA members can apply for the exchange program (membership is free for medical students, for further information visit the HMAA home page).

Students must apply only to one location from the HMAA Exchange Programs! It is not possible to apply for more (Buffalo, Houston)!

Deadline: applications must be emailed by April 1, 2024 by midnight (CET).

Applications emailed later than this date will not be accepted.

Only online applications will be accepted.

All students are encouraged to attend the Balatonfüred congress of the HMAA Hungary Chapter in August, 2024.( earn plus points for your presentation/research/ HMAA activity)

Study in Buffalo, NY 2024

The rotations begin four times a year, approximately in July, September, and December of next year and March of the year following the next. The exact dates will be determined by HMAA (shortly after interview).

The purpose of the program is to facilitate the exchange of students as well as experience and knowledge between the involved medical universities. With this program the HMAA contributes and provides broad medical knowledge to young Hungarian physicians who are entering the Hungarian health care system.

This program is sponsored and managed by the Hungarian Medical Association of America, HMAA.

 

Students may take the following electives

Headache Medicine
Neurology
Child Neurology
Obstetrics and Gynecology

Please note that these electives are subject to availability at the time of the rotation.

 

Financing

Students are expected to cover:

Round trip air transportation
Health insurance
Medical liability (coordinated by HMAA) is appr. USD 2-300 for 2 months
Meal costs (some Buffalo departments provide meal tickets for use in the hospital)
Students accepted for the program will contribute to their housing in the amount of 500 USD per month (1000 USD total)

 

Financial Support

Pallas Athéné Innovációs és Geopolitikai Alapítvány (PAIGEO): estimated 1210 USD support (per person for 2 months based on the 2022/2023 academic year stipend) for all the Hungarian* students who participate in the Buffalo Exchange program (no need for additional application).  – on HOLD until further notice.

Eligibility: Hungarian students (per academic year) who participate in the Buffalo Exchange Program and are from the Hungarian and English Language Program

Saitama Medical University 2024

A Saitama Egyetem (Moroyama, Japan) és a Semmelweis Egyetem közötti csereszerződés értelmében két magyar, IV. illetve V. évfolyamos hallgató sebészet témában szakmai gyakorlatot végezhet Japánban.

A fogadó egyetem átvállalja a magyar hallgatók teljes útiköltségét, szállást és napi háromszori étkezést biztosít. A gyakorlati idő hétköznap reggel 8:00 órától délután 17:00 óráig tart. Viszonzásul a magyar hallgatók aktívan közreműködnek a Budapesten tartózkodó japán hallgatók szociális és kulturális programjainak szervezésében. (Kirándulásokkal, egyéb programokkal teszik színesebbé magyarországi tartózkodásukat.)

A cseregyakorlat célja:

  • a szakmai fejlődés elősegítése,
  • kölcsönös tapasztalatcsere,
  • egymás kultúrájának minél szélesebb körű megismertetése,
  • a szakmai és társalgási angol nyelv gyakorlása.         

A cseregyakorlat ideje: 2024. július (Időtartam: 4 hét)

A japán hallgatók augusztus elején érkeznek Magyarországra.
