He is Professor of Surgery at the Department of Abdominal, Transplantation and Thoracic Surgery at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He is involved in several new research approaches. His main interest is the coloproctology and as a basic scientist the role of lipocalin-2 in ischemia/reperfusion injury and acute rejection. He is a founder of the Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association.
Francis L. Delmonico, MD
He is Professor of Surgery at the Harvard Medical School and Medical Director of the New England Organ Bank (NEOB). Since 2012 he is President-elect of the International Transplantation Society. He is in the Editorial Board of several international journals. He is the Co-Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Transplantation. He is Board Member of several national and international associations. He is the past President of OPTN (Organ Procurement and Transplant Network)/UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing). He is a consultant of WHO. He has authored numerous publications. He works also as mentor for young medical doctors and investigators from all over the world.

Richard Nisan Fine, MD
Richard Fine
He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the State University of New York Stony Brook, and since 2005 he is the Dean of the School of Medicine. He is the Vice President of the North American Pediatric Renal Transplant Cooperative Study. Until 2011 he was the President of the International Pediatric Transplant Association. He received several international awards. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Pediatric Transplantation Journal and member of the Editorial Board of 13 international journals.
Philip F. Halloran, MD, PhD, FRCP (C), OC, FRSC
He is a Professor, a principal investigator and coordinator in the Department of Medicine and Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Alberta. He is a Visiting Professor at the Hammersmith teaching Hospital of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is Board Member of more than 20 national and international, governmental and scientific societies. He received several scientific awards. He is the Head Professor of the Nephrology Department at the Technical University Munich. He is a Past President of the German Transplantation Society. He is the mentor of numerous young Hungarian researchers.
Ferenc Horkay MD, DSc
He is director of the Department of Heart Surgery at Semmelweis University. He is one of the leader and founder of the Hungarian heart transplant program. His areas of clinical and scientific interest are heart transplantation and the role of vasoactive peptides in different heart diseases. He is member of several national and international scientific associations. He published several scientific papers from the field of heart transplantation.
Béla Iványi MD, DSc
He is Professor of Pathology at the University of Szeged, Szent-Györgyi Albert Clinical Centre. He is the director of the Department of Pathology. He is member of several scientific committees. He published and wrote several scientific publication and book chapters. He is an international expert of renal and transplant pathology and histology.

He is Professor at the Department of Cardiology at the University of Leuven and head of the Flemish Interuniversity Institute for Biotechnology research laboratory. Barry D. Kahan, MD, PhD, FACS
He is Professor of Surgery at the Houston Texas Medical School and former Director of the Department for Immunology and Transplantation. He is a past President of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Transplantation Proceedings and he is in the Editorial Board of several international journals. He is the Head of the Department of Immunological Research at the N.I.H. According to medical sciences, he belongs to the 100 mostly cited authors. He is a resident of surgery and PhD student at Semmelweis University. He is a visiting researcher in United Kingdom. He is one of the founders of Clinical Anatomy Research Laboratory. His main scientific interest is to investigate the human liver anatomy and the blood supply of the upper part of the human gastrointestinal system.

He is Vice-Director of the Department of Transplantation and Surgery at the Semmelweis University. He is president of the Hungarian Transplant Society. He is associate professor of the Department of Lung Surgery at the medical University of Vienna. He organized the collaboration for lung transplantation between Hungary and Vienna. He is leader of the Hungarian lung transplant program. He is member of several international scientific associations. He published several national and international papers from the field of lung transplantation.
György Losonczy MD, DSc
He is currently Director of the Department of Pulmonology at Semmelweis University. He is the program director of the PhD School for lung disease and pulmonology research. His areas of clinical and scientific interest are transplant and tumor-immunology, asthma and non-invasive ventilation. He is committee member of several national and international scientific organizations. He published several scientific papers and book chapters.

He is the President of Eurotransplant. He is Professor at the Department of Cardiac Transplantation/Experimental Cardiac Surgery at the Center of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Munich. He is the leader of the Cardiac Transplantation Program.
Béla Merkely MD, DSc
He is currently Director and Professor of the Heart Center of Semmelweis University, chairman of the Cardiology Graduate Education. His areas of clinical expertise are cardiac electrophysiology, device therapy and interventional cardiology. In addition to his chairmanship and active participation in graduate and postgraduate cardiology education, he is the program director of the PhD School for cardiovascular research. He is the chief editor of the Hungarian Journal of Physician Education and an editorial board member of several international journals.

He is Professor of Internal Medicine at the Charles University in Prague. He is the Head of the Department of Nephrology, Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague and of the Transplant Laboratory.
