His main interest is the coloproctology and as a basic scientist the role of lipocalin-2 in ischemia/reperfusion injury and acute rejection. He is a founder of the Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association.

Francis L. Delmonico, MD

Francis_LHe is Professor of Surgery at the Harvard Medical School and Medical Director of the New England Organ Bank (NEOB). Since 2012 he is President-elect of the International Transplantation Society. He is in the Editorial Board of several international journals. He is the Co-Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Transplantation. He is Board Member of several national and international associations. He is the past President of OPTN (Organ Procurement and Transplant Network)/UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing). He is a consultant of WHO. He has authored numerous publications.
