INVITATION TO TENDER

for the National Higher Education Scholarship in the academic year of 2024/25

The Minister for Education, in accordance with Act CCIV of 2011 on higher education (Nftv.), as well as Government Decree No. 51/2007. (signed III.26.) on the benefits given to and certain fees paid by students in higher education,

grants the National Higher Education Scholarship
for the academic year of 2024/2025.

Tenders for the National Higher Education Scholarship can be submitted by those worthy students of the Faculty who hold state scholarships (are state-funded) or are self-financing (in paid courses), currently in full-time bachelor’s (B.Sc.) or master’s (M.Sc.) programmes, or applying from a bachelor’s programme to a master’s, who

  • have registered for at least two semesters during their current or former studies and received at least 55 credits;
  • have achieved a weighted grade average – per semester – of 4.50 or above in their last two completed active semesters;
  • have performed outstanding work in the field of science, education, professional work, public work, and/or sports, among others.

Based on the criteria above, the amount of students who may receive the National Higher Education Scholarship on the Faculty is equal to 0.8% of the student body taking part in state-funded, full-time B.Sc. or M.Sc. courses according to the communication of statistical data on 15th October, 2023, which equates to 17 students.

The National Higher Education Scholarship may be granted for the duration of a full academic year, or 10 months. Its value is HUF 40 000/person/month.
The National Higher Education Scholarship is granted in accordance with the ranking recommended by the University’s Rector, by the Minister for Education, individually.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS is done via the NEPTUN system,
from 07th June, 2024, 12:00 PM to 05th July, 2024, 11:59 PM.

The application consists of the application form and its appendices. The full application is to be submitted electronically, through the NEPTUN system (Administration-Requests). We may not consider applications submitted after the end of the period detailed above.

Applicants must attach:

  • a certificate of participation and/or ranking in OTDK or TDK by the president of the TDT,
  • a scanned copy of publications and lectures, as well as a certificate from the chief librarian in case of publications in a journal with an impact factor,
  • an original language exam certificate,
  • an official certificate of public work, sports or other activity by the organization in which said activity was performed.

We may not consider applications containing missing or inaccurate data.

The aspects and timeline of the applications’ judgment, deadlines and appeal process are detailed under the Organizational and Operational Regulations (SZMSZ), Section III.4., Appendix 6.2.
