Article 2.6.4 of the Occupational Safety Policy

2.6.4. Occupational safety training of students, PhD students, and residents

1) All first-year Hungarian and foreign students, as well as students transferred from other universities, shall participate in an occupational health and safety training session within the first 30 days of the academic year, either in person or via the e-learning system; the same is required of PhD students and residents within 30 days of their enrollment. In justified cases, this period may be extended by a decision of the Registrar’s Office, provided that the training is completed before the end of the study period, as it is a condition for admission to examinations.

2) Students shall participate in a practical occupational safety training session, which shall be organized by the instructor of their practical lessons, prior to the commencement of their practical training. The training shall be recorded on the attendance sheet, and the list of training topics shall be attached. The attendance sheets must be kept for 10 years by the organizational unit where the practical training takes place.

 

Clause 2.6.4 of the Fire Safety Policy

2.6.4. Fire safety training for students, PhD students, and residents

2) Students of specialized courses, professional development courses, laboratory and clinical practices, and other teaching activities that may involve such risks shall be informed about general and specific fire protection measures, the fire hazards of work procedures and of the working environment, as well as fire safety rules through the incorporation of fire safety information into the study requirements and prior to the commencement of any activities. The instructor shall be responsible for conducting and documenting the fire safety training. The training shall be recorded on the attendance sheet, and the list of training topics shall be attached. The attendance sheets must be kept for 10 years by the organizational unit where the practical training takes place.

3) Students who fail to participate in the fire safety training due to their own fault may not participate in practical training until the fire safety training is made up for. Fire Safety Policy 48/306, Entry into force: 9 July 2021

4) Residents and PhD students who fail to participate in the fire safety training due to their own fault may not start their practical training until the fire safety training is made up for.

 

Clause 2.1.3 of the Environmental Policy

2.1.3 Student training

The deans of the faculties shall be responsible for the environmental education of students before the beginning of the academic year and before practical training as follows:

  • Secondary school and first year university students shall receive theoretical environmental education in person or via the e-learning system at the beginning of the academic year. In justified cases, this period may be extended by a decision of the Registrar’s Office, provided that the training is completed before the end of the study period, as it is a condition for admission to examinations.
  • Prior to the commencement of a practical training program, the instructor shall be responsible for providing practical environmental training. The students shall sign the training logbook to certify their attendance at the environmental training.
