SEMMELWEIS UNIVERSITY Faculty of General Medicine 9.612-2/AOATO/2022

Dear Student,

Section 8/A (2) of Rector – Chancellor – Clinical Centre President Directive RKE/4/2021 (IX. 09.) stipulates: “Students who participated in the performance of epidemiological tasks based on assignment or on a voluntary basis in the autumn semester of the academic year 2021/2022, or who were brought under quarantine or epidemiological monitoring while performing such tasks and have credibly proven this fact, may take examinations, in line with the duration of the assignment or voluntary performance, i.e. in the case of at least 56 hours so completed they may take examinations during the first week or, in the case of at least 112 hours so completed, during the first and second weeks of the spring semester.”

As to Hungarian language training at the Faculty Of General Medicine please be advised of the following in relation to the above examinations that are allowed to be taken during the first two weeks of the study period.

In the first and/or second week of the study period of the spring semester the students having been authorised to do so are allowed to take examinations using their existing examination opportunities available for the subjects taken but not yet completed – i.e. 1st, 2nd or 3rd year subjects according to the model curriculum. Students can indicate, by submitting the enclosed form not later than 4:00 p.m. on 25 January 2022 by e-mail to their respective years’ administrators at the Registrar’s Office if they wish to make use of the opportunity for taking examinations during the first two weeks of the study period. The list of students eligible to take such examinations will be furnished by the Students’ Self-government for the Registrar’s Office.
The Registrar’s Office will – not later than at 4:00 p.m. on 26 January – send notices to the e-mail addresses held in the Neptun system for any student found, upon checking their data, to be ineligible for the preferential examination opportunity. Only those students will be enabled to register for examinations during the first and/or second weeks of the study period who are eligible for doing so under the instruction. This will take place in groups of individuals assigned to the period of registration for examinations during these two weeks.
The students eligible for the preferential examination opportunity who failed examinations after 4:00 p.m. on 25 January and this is why they wish to make use of the opportunity to take examination during the above two-week period should immediately – but not later than by 8:00 a.m. on 31 January – submit their intent to take such examinations. Such requests on the part of students will be continuously notified by the Registrar’s Office to the educational-research organisational units concerned.

The examination opportunities will be announced for the first week of the study period of the spring semester, that is, for the period between 31 January 2022 and 04 February 2022 after registrations for examinations under the general schedule – between 07.00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 28 January 2022. Students who registered for the autumn semester of the 2021/2022 academic year and are entitled to the preferential examination opportunities based on at least 56 hours of the above activity completed, can register for the examination opportunities so announced, in the Neptun system between 4:00 p.m. on 28 January 2022 and 06:00 a.m. on 4 February 2022.

The examination opportunities will be announced for the second week of the study period of the spring semester, that is, for the period between 07 February 2022 and 11 February 2022 after registrations for examinations under the general schedule – between 07 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 04 February 2022.

Students who registered for the autumn semester of the 2021/2022 academic year and are entitled to the preferential examination opportunities based on at least 112 hours of the above activity completed, can register for the examination opportunities so announced, in the Neptun system between 4:00 p.m. on 04 January 2022 and 06:00 a.m. on 11 February 2022.

Please note that registrations made before the above periods for any examination opportunity that may have been announced earlier, will be cancelled.

– be entitled to register for the spring semester and take up subjects and courses:
         – – by 12:00 p.m. on 04 February 2022 if completed 56 hours of activity

I hereby thank our students for their active participation in the efforts of combating the pandemic and I sincerely hope that by taking the extra examination opportunities provided for those eligible, every one of our students will manage to successfully close this particularly difficult last semester.
