Midwives provide women with professional nursing care and emotional support during pregnancy, labor, childbirth and the postpartum period in addition to fulfilling nursing tasks of gynecological patients. 

The most important qualities of midwives are empathy, compassion and care towards women during their journey of becoming mothers, serenity and self-confidence in any situation, as well as professional and ethical behavior with relatives. In addition to mastering their interpersonal skills, students will acquire a strong theoretical basis of obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, pediatric medicine, intensive care and nursing that they will be able to put into practice in state-of-the-art simulation labs. Graduate midwives will become well-rounded health professionals with the ability to monitor pregnancies, assist labors, deliveries and postpartum processes in close collaboration with medical staff, while making sure that they provide adequate emotional support and facilitate bonding between mother and the newborn baby. Duration of the program: 4 years/8 semesters
