The maintainer of the university is the Foundation for National Health Care and Medical Education (NEOA). The new, more flexible structure will make possible for the university to better meet the social, economic and knowledge industry challenges, as well as the expectations for high quality.

The Semmelweis University Foundation is Semmelweis University’s non-profit foundation, which aims to support its educational, health care, and research activities. It was established to support Semmelweis University of Medicine’s educational, health care, and research activities. The Government of Hungary adopted the National Bionics Program implemented by the NKFI Fund by Resolution 1336/2017 (VI.9.). The consortium member BIK Nkft. is the company of the 250-year-old Semmelweis University and Pázmány Péter Catholic University, with an equal share of partnership of. It performs industrial protection and commercial adaptation of the results of bionic research projects.

HCEMM Ltd.
The European Commission’s Research Executive Agency, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Biological Research Centre in Szeged, the University of Szeged, the University of Debrecen, Semmelweis University and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (“EMBL”) signed a multilateral agreement within the framework of Horizon 2020 program. The agreement promotes institutions’ cooperation in the realisation of research and development projects, the identification and achievement of goals, including the foundation of the HCEMM Molecular Medicine Excellence Centre.
HCEMM Ltd. was founded by Semmelweis University, the University of Szeged, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Biological Research Centre in Szeged.
HCEMM Ltd. (HCEMM) is a new excellence centre with headquarters in Szeged, which will provide research- and educational services in the field of molecular medicine.

The Semmelweis University B52 Ltd. as the owner of the University’s premises at Baross utca 52, ensures the full operation of the building. The Ltd. provides the necessary infrastructure in the the seven-story building, that homes the University’s supporting areas on three levels – the Directorate General of Legal and Administrative Affairs and Directorate General of Information Technology – to perform their tasks.

University Fencing Club Ltd.
Semmelweis University gives priority to expanding the framework and opportunities for sporting activities, which enables both students and employees to actively participate in a sports organization associated with the institution. As a part of this process, Semmelweis University, together with Eötvös Loránd University, established the University Fencing Club Ltd. with an equal share of the business in order to boost university sports life and create a proper framework for the cultivation of fencing. Within the partnership, the Ltd. established by an equal share of ownership provides the background for the joint fencing club of the two universities.

Semmelweis BC22 Ltd., as the owner of the university’s premises at 22 Baross utca, 1085 Budapest, Hungary, ensures the full operation of the building. The seven-storey building currently provides the necessary infrastructure for the university’s support departments – such as the Central Economic Network Management Directorate – on two floors, and after the necessary renovations, it will accommodate additional educational and support departments of the university on five floors.
