Dr. Balázs Győrffy, head of the Joint Research Laboratory of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Semmelweis University received the third annual Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker Award at the 2012 Conference on Women’s Health and Breast Health held in Budapest. U.S. Ambassador Eleni Tsakopolous presented the award, which had been established by Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer organisation founded by former U.S. Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker.
Dr. Balázs Győrffy’s research concerns personalised breast cancer treatment. The Award will enable him to take part in the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, where two of his papers have been accepted for presentation.
