Public transport
Semmelweis University’s campuses are near the city center and easily accessible. Budapest has a well-developed public transportation system with metro, tram, and bus lines, as well as a public bike-sharing system and commuter trains. BKK, the city’s mobility manager, has put together a practical guide containing all relevant information for residents and visitors.
The international airport is located 10 km East of Budapest. Besides public transport buses (100E) you can use minibus service to go to the city.
Climate and Weather
Hungary is in the temperate zone and has a relatively dry continental climate with dry and hot summers and cold winters. Average temperatures range from -4 °C in January to 26 °C in July. Hungary has four different seasons: winter (December, January, February), spring (March, April, May), summer (June, July, August), and autumn (September, October, November).
