300 people took part in this year’s Graduation Ball, which in line with traditions was held in the Nagyvárad tér Theoretical Building (NET). At the gala dinner organized by the Students’ Union (HÖK), final-year students from all of the university’s faculties were present. In the name of the university’s leadership, vice-rector for general affairs Dr. Ferenc Bánhidy greeted participants.

In his welcome remarks, the vice-rector compared the university to a nest, which colleagues are now flying out of but where they can return at any time, be it for further training or to build contacts. He added that achieving further success on the occasion of the university’s 250th anniversary will only be possible if the excellent students now graduating achieve success in life as well. “You are now entering a world where you will have to perform by yourself, and this performance will determine your future,” noted the vice-rector, who also expressed his hope that the future leaders of the university will come those now seated at the tables.
