The Semmelweis Ice Carnival, organized by the Students’ Union, took place at the City Park Ice Rink, where almost two thousand students skated, and many entered the costume competition and the relay race.
Hungarian as well as international students attended the event, and all the faculties of the university were represented, the organizers said. According to tradition, music was provided by DJs Semmelweis Sodor & Voko. The costume competition and the relay race were also popular – many participants entered both contests.
The best costume award was given to “Sushi and Geisha”, the second prize went to the “Ministrants”, and the third to the “Photogenes” team. The relay race was won by the “Washington Capitals”, while the “DERX” was second, and “Hatos” team was third. After the announcement of the results, the Ice Carnival continued in the Grand Guri Beerhouse, where the second qualifying beerpong match took place in preparation for the Medic Cup.
