The list entitled “Highly Cited Researchers” of 2017 prepared on the basis of the data provided by The Web Science has recently been released. This year 3300 researchers from 21 various scientific disciplines were recognized from all over the world, whose publications were the most frequently cited between 2005 and 2015. This year two colleagues of Semmelweis University have received this highly prestigious honour: Prof. Péter Ferdinandy, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy and Prof. Pál Pacher, External Scientific Advisor and Doctor Honoris Causa Awardee of Semmelweis University, currently affiliated with NIH, USA.
