The Directorate of Security Service of Semmelweis University in cooperation with the Directorate of Disaster Management of Budapest organizes a simulation of a health disaster situation by the street front of the Department of Transplantation and Surgery on October 12, Wednesday, between 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The simulation will not affect the patient care, education and office work. However, pedestrians and car drivers can expect some traffic limitations on Szentkirályi street:
- Starting from October 11 evening until October 12, 5:00 p.m. there will be a parking prohibition between Szentkirályi street 45-47, as well as in front of Baross street 21.
- Starting from October 12, 12:30 approximately until 5:00 p.m. the part of Szentkirályi street between Üllői street and Baross street will be closed for car traffic.
- Szentkirályi street will be closed for pedestrian traffic by the street front of the Department of Transplantation and Surgery on October 12 approximately between 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. during the simulation carried out by the fire service.
The description of the simulation:
By the street front of the Department of Transplantation and Surgery in Szentkirályi street an accident of a vehicle carrying hazardous substances will be simulated. The employees of Semmelweis University, the Hungarian Red Cross and the Directorate of Disaster Management of Budapest will be simulating the situation in which the hazardous substance is leaking from this vehicle. Please note that during the exercise, on October 12, between 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. you can expect to see a fire engine and the presence of people wearing special protecting outfits.
