Semmelweis students at an international conference in Moscow

A delegation of twenty represented Semmelweis University at the 7^th annual international conference organized by the People’s Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) in Moscow. The delegation’s members were students from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Many of the scientific conference’s most successful presentations were done by our students.

The group was led by Dr. Klára Törő, Assistant Professor of the Department of Forensic Medicine, who was a guest speaker and co-chair at the event. The conference was made up of seven sections which consisted of the presentations of students from PFUR and other foreign universities. Besides theory, the students had the opportunity to enter into practical competitions in the fields of dentistry, surgery and pharmacy.

The audience was greeted by the Russian university’s rector and the dean of its faculty of medicine at the opening ceremony. The different sections gave an excellent opportunity for the participants to share their professional experiences and build new relationships.
