STEP 1: ENROLLMENT (STUDENT REGISTRATION)

In-person registration takes place at the CTM Secretariat in late August. Detailed information of the exact date, time and place will be sent to students by email.

Documents required for registration:

  • Passport or national ID card
  • Original high school diploma and a copy, or an official English translation if applicable
  • Please note that the tuition fee must be paid before registration.

During registration, the following will take place:

Health Insurance: A special health insurance is provided for students, and its fee is included in the tuition fee. The service includes an English-speaking call center, general practitioner services, and treatment at the Polyclinics and Clinics of Semmelweis University. The insurance is automatically renewed as long as the student has an active status and the tuition fee has been paid.

Student Card: With the student card, students are entitled to discounted public transport passes, railway and long-distance bus tickets, and access to a variety of services and benefits (e.g., libraries, sports facilities, cultural and commercial discounts).

To apply for the student card, students must first activate the current semester in the Neptun system. Without activation, the application process cannot begin.
After activation, students must visit a Government Office (Kormányablak) and request a NEK document for the student card. A passport is required. A photo will be taken, and the student’s basic data will be recorded. The NEK document must then be submitted to the CTM Secretariat, where the student card application will be finalized.
The Secretariat will notify students when their plastic card arrives.

Please note that student discounts can only be used with a temporary or permanent student card, so regular fare tickets must be used during the first month.

STEP 2: OPENING CEREMONY

Detailed information regarding the opening ceremony will be sent to students by email.

STEP 3: SUBJECT REGISTRATION

Takes place in late August or early September, according to the CTM Academic Calendar.
