40 years of international training experience
The University’s German-language medical training was launched in 1983, followed by the English one in 1989. Since then, Semmelweis University has become one of Europe’s leading English and German-language training institutions.

Semmelweis University treated more than 170,000 cases of 96,700 inpatients and 2.66 million cases of 425,500 outpatients in 2023. There are currently 2,057 active inpatient beds and 285 chronic inpatient beds.
