Those students interested in the professional training programs and university training programs offered by Semmelweis University, who most rapidly register for the Online Open House of the institution held on 15-16 January, have the opportunity to ask in person during the student-teacher forums or to send their questions in written format in advance. However, no one will miss the most important details, since the online program can be followed live by anyone on the web page of the event.
Besides the professional training schools of Semmelweis University, the faculties, the Students’ Scientific Association and the Kerpel-Fronius Talent Support Program also have the opportunity to present their programs virtually at the Semmelweis Online Open House on 15-16 January. Interested students may not only view the detailed program containing more than 100 programs on the event’s web page, but they can also register for the presentations, forums offered by faculties and vocational secondary schools. Those, who register the most rapidly, may join the live Zoom presentations interactively, thus they have the opportunity to receive answers to their questions first hand from the university’s teachers and students regarding dormitory accommodation, scholarships, the most important core subjects or research work.
Besides the six faculties of Semmelweis University – the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Health and Public Administration and András Pető Faculty – the Kerpel-Fronius Talent Support Program, the Students’ Scientific Association and secondary health care training institutions all prepare with forums, interactive check-ins, office hours, introductory videos and “guided tours” providing an insight into hidden university locations (for example an autopsy room). The rich offering of programs of the Faculty of Health Sciences grants access to the educational program of paramedics training, midwifery training, health visitor training, nurse training, public health inspector training, physiotherapy training, dietetics training as well as other interesting specializations and further vocational trainings. Interested students may also learn, too, that the voice, speech and swallowing therapist training program is only available at Semmelweis University in Hungary, which occupation currently has a real shortage of professionals. The presentations held by the Faculty of Health and Public Administration reveal what exactly eHealth and digital health care mean and what sort of IT systems are applied in health care.
