This year, the Csík Ferenc Sport Scholarship was awarded for the first time to students having outstanding sports achievements and students organizing sports events/activities: altogether six university students received the scholarship in two categories.

Students had the opportunity to hand in applications for the Csík Ferenc Sports Scholarship in two categories: students having outstanding sports achievements (category “A”) and students organizing sports events/activities (category “B”). Those students were eligible for category “A”, who represent Hungary in the upper divisions of any of the indicated sports. The winner of this category is Fanni Kreiss, member of the national swordsman team, 3rd year student at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The second-place winner is Zsófia Potoniec, kayaker, 1st year student of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The bronze medal was taken by Lilla Zsófia Hanzl, member of the national swordsman team, 1st year student of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Those students were eligible for category “B”, who greatly contribute to the shaping of the university’s sports life with their organizing activities, and who therefore contribute to the development of Semmelweis University as well. In this category, the winner is Eszter Hámori, team captain of the university’s basketball team, 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine. Scholarships were awarded in the same category to Dániel Teréki, team captain of the university’s volleyball team, 5th year student of the Faculty of Dentistry and Dávid Fülöp, team captain of the university’s basketball team, 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine.
