Dr. László Palkovics, Minister and Tamás Schanda, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology expressed their gratitude to the health care professionals of Semmelweis University in a video message. The video was uploaded to Facebook and they thank the university’s staff for their persistent work during the current epidemiological situation.
“I would like to express my appreciation to the medical doctors, nurses and specialist personnel for all the hard work they do here every day”, said Dr. László Palkovics, Minister of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology in the short video message uploaded to Facebook.
“Semmelweis University does not only educate and do research, but is one of the most outstanding health care systems in Hungary.”, he added.
“Health care professionals are heroes, as we could witness that today as well. We would like to express our gratitude to them for all the work they carry out every day. We wish a lot of strength, persistence and patience for those patients who are hospitalized and for those people who are recovering in their homes”, said Tamás Schanda, Deputy Minister, Secretary of State for Parliamentary and Strategic Affairs in the video message recorded during the visit at the clinic of Semmelweis University located in Tömő street.
Dr. Béla Merkely, rector of Semmelweis University called people’s attention to the significance of reducing personal contacts, using masks, washing hands properly, keeping a polite distance and strengthening our immune system.
“The most important is to avoid the disease if we can. In the current epidemiological situation voluntary restraint is a crucial aspect”, highlighted Dr. Merkely in the video message.
