Three of Semmelweis University’s clinical departments received distinctions at the 6th annual “Hospital of the Year” awards ceremony, held on January 25, 2011.
The University’s 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and 1st Department of Surgery tied for first place in the “Physician Care” category, while the Department of Vascular Surgery shared its accolades in the “Nursing and Professional Staff” category with the Dr. Bugyi István Regional Hospital.
As in previous years, the winners of the “Hospital of the Year” awards were voted on by the patients of the various Hungarian health care institutions themselves.
