The brand new Centre of Theoretical Medicine was officially opened on 6 November in Tűzoltó street (Budapest, 9th district), within walking distance from other facilities of the Faculty of Medicine.
The state-of-the-art building provides teaching staff and students with a remarkably large 27 thousand square metre space for teaching, research, administrative and recreational purposes. The new centre accommodates – among others – 5 theoretical institutes, 25 laboratories, 5 auditoriums, a sports centre, a restaurant and several offices. The centre will serve the needs of about 2,000 Hungarian and international medical students of the university.
The EUR 27 Million development is the result of the latest PPP project of Semmelweis University.
