More than 30 years ago, a couple of young people dared to dream. Their vision was to initiate and establish an MBA-type leader training institute on the eastern part of the freshly collapsed “Iron Curtain”- merging comprehensive health policy expertise with so far locked management and economic knowledge. The breakthrough came with support from the World Bank: the inventors traveled and studied around the world, and with the experience and knowledge they gained, it was possible to establish a unique training center.
In our center, teaching is understood as knowledge transfer between equal partners; practical teaching with case studies is in focus, and a new type of tutorial system has been introduced. Of the graduating classes so far, and among hundreds of graduates, many have become leading doctors, cabinet chiefs, ministers of health, or leaders of professional organizations who are keen to apply newly gained insights and perspectives to healthcare.
The next cohorts of our Master’s programs will start in September 2026 and, as a spring intake, in February 2027 in Budapest.
