40 years of international training experience

The University’s German-language medical training was launched in 1983, followed by the English one in 1989. Since then, Semmelweis University has become one of Europe’s leading English and German-language training institutions.

2.87 million cases

Semmelweis University treated more than 170,000 cases of 96,700 inpatients and 2.7 million cases of 426,000 outpatients in 2023. There are currently 2,261 active inpatient beds and 667 chronic inpatient beds.
