September is Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month. Diseases associated with scarring of the lungs affect an estimated 3-10,000 people in Hungary. Semmelweis University provided the venue for this year’s doctor-patient meeting of the Hungarian Pulmonary Fibrosis Association.
In addition to scientific presentations, the event was also included physiotherapist led breathing exercises and a cheerful dance program. This year, the Association’s award was presented for the first time, which was received by Prof. Dr. Veronika Müller in recognition of her medical care for pulmonary fibrosis and her continuous support for the establishment and work of the association.
