International students taking part in study exchanges and traineeships met fellow participants and began building connections at Semmelweis University’s Welcome Event on September 25. Organized by the Directorate of International Relations and Alumni Affairs and the university’s Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the event helped students settle into university life.

The Erasmus Student Network is the largest student organization in Europe, with volunteer students actively involved in the organization at 480 higher education institutions across 37 countries, including Semmelweis University.

Among ESN’s main objectives are supporting incoming international students and students returning from exchanges abroad. The Welcome Event focused on helping international students integrate and build connections. The organizers ensured the students’ interactive participation through online quizzes and prize games.

The event brought together international students undertaking study exchanges and traineeships. Participants came from Semmelweis University’s partner institutions in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.

The event concluded successfully with an exceptionally high participation rate and positive feedback, and the organizers are therefore embarking on the planning of the next events linked to the Erasmus+ program with plenty of new experience.
