At its January meeting, the Senate decided to expand the university’s real estate assets. The real estate assets will be increased by an apartment that is located next to the Városmajor Clinical Center, and which the institution purchased for HUF 40 million for young researchers, exercising its right of first refusal.
The board voted in favor of the amendment of the Awards Regulations. It also decided to amend the Admission Regulations, which was made necessary by the legislative changes in force from 2024, as well as the Organizational and Operational Rules and certain of their provisions. The latter included changes to the provisions of the Premises Management and Sales Regulations and the Data Protection Regulations.
The Senate decided to launch the optional subject entitled KULTKredit. The two-credit subject will be offered for the first time in the spring semester of the academic year 2024-2025, and the program is open to up to 100 Hungarian and 30 international students. The KULTKredit subject requires participation in cultural events and the preparation of a written report. Cultural institutions and university organizations provide free admission to cultural events and performances for students completing the optional subject.
Under the agenda item “Any other business,” senators were informed of the change in the 2024-2025 academic calendar, according to which the spring semester’s term time will end on May 17, 2025, as a result of the transfer of working days due to the holidays.
