Registration is still open for Semmelweis University’s Online Open Day on January 23 for prospective students interested in medicine and health sciences, their teachers, and parents. The event will showcase Semmelweis University’s faculties offering English and German-language education and give applicants an insight into university and student life in Budapest. Participants can get all their questions answered, take part in interactive discussions, and watch short films.

“The event aims to offer prospective students a glimpse of university life and education at Semmelweis, thus bringing their chosen profession a little closer to them,” emphasizes Dr. Péter Hermann, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs. He adds that on February 11, a Campus Tour will allow visitors to explore the student spaces and dormitories in person.

Those registering for the Online Open Day can learn about a dental student’s day-to-day life, get an insight into medical training and the beauty of the pharmaceutical profession, as well as discover the health sciences and special education courses at Semmelweis University.

“Candidates can follow the talks live, where they can meet the university’s leaders, faculty, and students as well as ask their questions,” says Dr. Bálint Tripolszky, Head of the event organizer Directorate of Student Services. He points out that this year, international prospective students from all over the world can join the event to benefit from interactive talks introducing the university’s English and German-language programs.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, January 22, 2025, 8:00 a.m. (CET, UTC+01:00) for the Online Open Day and Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:59 p.m. (CET, UTC+01:00) for the Campus Tour.
