At the initiative of and in collaboration with the China-CEEC Cooperation People-to-People Exchange & Experience Center, with the support of the Dongyang Municipal Government and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Semmelweis University is examining the possibility of creating an international higher education center in health sciences, involving Hungarian and Chinese experts. As a result of this cooperation, the center would be established in the city of Dongyang, providing training for nurses, physiotherapists, healthcare managers, and rehabilitation professionals through an internationally recognized program.
At the request of the Chinese partner, our university aims to formulate optimal solutions for the efficient implementation of the project with a comprehensive feasibility study.
The planned training programs, which will initially enroll a minimum of 2000 students, are of great significance as they are the first of their kind in China with Hungarian involvement. This flagship project will greatly contribute to strengthening Hungarian-Chinese relations, in alignment with the “One Belt, One Road” initiative as well as the goals formulated in Hungary’s Opening to the East policy.
