The sixth part of the photo reportage series taken at Semmelweis University presents COVID patient care at Szent Rókus Clinical Block. The unit has a history of 223 years.
At Szent Rókus Clinical Block, such patients were treated with coronavirus who did not require an intensive care. At the peak of the epidemic, more than 100 patients were cared for in the red and gray zones, and as the situation eased, this number dropped significantly. When the photos were taken, about 15 patients were cared for at the COVID unit of the clinical block. Three units were involved in COVID patient care: the Geriatrics Clinic and the Center of Nursing Sciences as well as the Cardiac and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Departments. The operational team of the organizational unit held a meeting every day, and constantly monitored the changes in the epidemiological situation and made new decisions in order to ensure adequate patient care and protect the health of patients.
Attila Kovács, the photographer of the Directorate of Communications captured the moments of the morning briefing at the COVID unit of Szent Rókus Clinical Block.
