Semmelweis University is ranked as 301-400 according to the recent international ranking list prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) in the categories of both life sciences and clinical-, pre-clinical- and health sciences.
Higher-education institutions were measured on the basis of five performance indicators: educational environment, research, impact factor, industrial revenues and international orientation. According to this year’s ranking list prepared by THE, the best universities of the world are ranked in altogether 11 categories. Besides the Top 100 lists prepared earlier, this year Top 200 and Top 500 rankings have also been prepared.
Among the Hungarian universities, besides Semmelweis University, Eötvös Loránd University has also been ranked as 301-400 in the category of life sciences, which ranking is led by Harvard University. In the category of clinical-, pre-clinical- and health sciences, which is led by the University of Oxford, Semmelweis University and the University of Pécs were ranked as 301-400, meanwhile the University of Debrecen and the University of Szeged were ranked as 401-500.
According to this year’s THE world ranking list, Semmelweis University was ranked as 401-500, and with this result our institution managed to improve its previous ranking position.
