Semmelweis University is ranked in the list prepared by Times Higher Education

According to the most recent Times Higher Education (THE) ranking, Semmelweis University is ranked on the 65^th position being the second highly ranked Hungarian university in this list. 300 higher-education institutions from 41 developing countries were evaluated and listed in this ranking.

The ranking entitled Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings takes 13 indicators into consideration. University strengths are evaluated on the basis of activities in education, research, knowledge transfer and international visibility and activity.  

The ranking list is led by Chinese higher-education institutions: among the ten best there are six Chinese universities. Out of the Hungarian universities Central European University is ranked as 16^th, Semmelweis University as 65^th, the University of Pécs as 122^nd, Eötvös Loránd University as 123^rd, the University of Szeged as 129^th, Budapest University of Technology and Economics as 154^th and Debrecen University among the rankings of 201-250^th.
