Representatives of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Semmelweis University and Avicenna International College celebrated the birthday of Semmelweis by placing a flower at his statue in Tehran at TUMS on the 1st of July 2016. The flower was specially brought from Budapest with memorial on the flag in Hungarian, English and Persian signed by Dr. Laszlo Rosivall on behalf of the Semmelweis Memorial Committee.
