RS38447_TZ_20151114_033-scrMore than a hundred participants from seventeen countries attended the International Conference on Advances in the Area of Bioequivalence about the latest achievements of the pharmaceutical science, trends in generic medicine and current issues of bioequivalence.

“It is a “two-in-one” event as it focuses on bioequivalence, biosimilarity, bioanalytics and the development of pharmaceutical technologies, as well as the regulatory background of the pharmaceutical industry by discussing regulations, guidance and the latest issues of medicine registration.”, Dr. Imre Klebovich, professor of Semmelweis University’s Department Pharmaceutics, co-chair of the event and president of the Standing Committee of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Science said in his opening speech.

“It is our honour to welcome Dr. A. Atilla Hincal and Dr. Panos Macheras, members of the conference’s international scientific advisory board, who had been conferred the title Doctor Honoris Causa of Semmelweis University two days prior this event.”, he said.

RS38443_TZ_20151114_022-scrOn behalf of the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition the participants were welcomed by Dr. Hilda Szalai. Dr. Éva Szökő, president of the Hungarian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences , Dr. Erem Bilensoy, president of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) and foreign co-chairs of the conference, Dr. László Endrényi from Canada and Dr. Vinod P. Shah from the USA gave short speeches at the event.
