A group of fifty Dutch medical students from the University of Groningen visited Semmelweis University on Monday as part of a short excursion to Berlin and Budapest.

Coordinated by the Hungarian Medical Students’ International Relations’ Committee, the visit commenced at the statue of Ignác Semmelweis in the Inner Clinical Campus’ courtyard. The Dutch students received a tour of the 19th century Central Administrative Building by Orsolya Thurzó (Directorate of International Relations), while Gina Gönczi (Directorate of International Relations) gave an introductory presentation to Semmelweis University, including a historical overview of the institution and a look at its educational, research and health care activities and achievements.
