CHAFEA
01/02/2021- 01/08/2023
About the project
The background of the Project is that the European Council adopted a specific call to set up the European Health Data Space by the end of 2021.
The main objectives of the TEHDAS Joint Action are:
- Contribute to ensuring the protection and free flow of data in the health sector based on the examination how Member States and other participating countries have applied the GDPR rules on processing health data.
- Draft options on the secondary use of health data, including the application of big data and artificial intelligence in health and long-term care.
- To provide technical support for the development of guidelines on effective methods for enabling the use of medical information for public health and research.
- Propose options for governance models for data-sharing at EU level, in particular networking for secondary use.
