Training type: thematic training
Format: workshop
Target group: lecturers and seminar teachers
Venue: 1125 Budapest, Kútvölgyi út 2., ground floor classroom

Aim:
The program aims to provide a space for collaborative thinking on the use of student-led, practical problem-solving projects that can be integrated into education. Participants will address the choice of topics and the relevance of projects to the educational purpose, the development of frameworks for group work, the use of group dynamics, the facilitation of problem-solving projects, the potential in reporting and reflecting on results, and exchange experiences on project-based practices they have used or planned. The program also aims to provide participants with first-hand experience of participating in a project through training.

Training type:
The program requires a four-week period of participant activity, and consists of the following elements:

  • a total of 12 contact hours of interactive workshop, divided into two sessions (6×45 minutes each);
  • Pre-assigned materials, orientation questions, completion of a group questionnaire (1-2 hours of individual work);
  • in between two contact sessions, participants work in small groups on a small “project” (coordination and communication between group members is required during the project work);
  • 1 hour of online tutorial consultation with each project team (at an appointed time);
  • in the second workshop, the project teams will present the results of their project.

If the range of participants allows, we propose to develop inter-professional courses and training activities that require the cooperation of students from different disciplines. However, the theme of the projects may vary according to the professional and teaching background and interests of the participants.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. This is a thematic training, which requires at least one semester of classroom time, so that the participant can work primarily with their own examples.
  2. Completing the registration questionnaire

Capacity: 30 participants/course, we also welcome applications from teaching teams (the program will launch with a minimum of 12 participants)

Date: 13 March, 13 November 2024

Venue:
Semmelweis University Health Services Management Training Centre
1125 Budapest, Kútvölgyi út 2., ground floor classroom

The program is also linked to a Moodle site, and online consultations are conducted through the university Zoom platform. Preliminary materials will be made available 1 week prior to the first class.
