The board approved the Senate’s work plan for spring 2026.
The Senate amended several points of the Organizational and Operational Rules (SzMSz). Accordingly, the Remuneration and Benefits Policy (TJSZ) was amended: From now on, the amount of the János Bókay Scholarship (formerly: study scholarship) falls within the competence of the vice-rector for educational affairs; special rules apply to deviating from the ratios for the different levels of the scholarship; and increasing the amount of the scholarship will require a decision by the rector and the chancellor. New types of scholarships were introduced: the scholarship for contributing to high-profile university events and activities, the János Bókay Supplementary Scholarship, and the Semmelweis University Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The rector and chancellor were authorized to increase the amount of the National Higher Education Scholarship. The publication grant provisions were amended to allow undergraduate and Ph.D. students to receive compensation for their contributions to publications. The Doctoral Regulation was also amended: as part of this, the restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence were revised to streamline the rules and make them easier to comprehend. Pursuant to another decision by the Senate, the Remuneration and Benefits Policy and its Annex were amended: In light of the call for applications for the National Higher Education Scholarship, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (GYTK) modified its faculty regulations and revised the scoring system used to evaluate applications.
The amendment to the model curriculum for the master’s program in Pharmaceutical Innovation and Business Administration was approved. This decision was based on the need to streamline the curriculum, schedule the subject on market-related and negotiation skills to earlier semesters, optimize the sequence of interdependent courses, adapt to changes in course coordinators, and apply technical modifications concerning the names of the courses.
The rules of procedure were approved for the Ethical and Disciplinary Committee, which was elected by the Senate and operates within the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The senators approved the report on the work performed by the standing committees with university competence (the Scientific Council, the Animal Welfare Committee, the Quality Improvement and Assessment Committee, the External Research Assessment Committee, the Committee for Pharmaceutical Therapy, Antibiotics and Infection Control, the University Ethics Committee, the Habilitation Committee, the Committee for Students’ Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, the Equal Opportunities Committee, the Committee for the Review of Students’ Judicial Remedy Appeals, the University Innovation Committee, and the Committee for Postgraduate Specialist and Professional Training).
The board also reviewed an application for a teaching position.
