On the occasion of her resignation from the position of Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Dr. Zsuzsanna Tóth was awarded with a gold seal ring by Dr. Béla Merkely, Rector of Semmelweis University.
Dr. Zsuzsanna Tóth was Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry for 8.5 years, her managerial term has expired on 12 December, 2020. The laudation written on the occasion of her award emphasizes that Dr. Zsuzsanna Tóth has been an employee of the Department of Conservative Dentistry since her graduation as a dentist.
“She is a well-trained, practicing dentist who passes on her knowledge to the students in Hungarian, German and English. She provides classroom lectures in the framework of a total of 7 subjects, and the introduction of an elective course in both Hungarian and English is attached to her name. In addition to postgraduate training in Hungarian, she is also the program manager and lecturer of postgraduate training in English. She continuously participates in curriculum development, and is the author of 13 Hungarian and 8 English language textbook chapters ”, the laudation highlights.
The associate professor, who is the recipient of the Batthyány-Strattmann László Prize, actively participates in increasing the professional, scientific and social prestige of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Department of Conservative Dentistry both at home and abroad. She is founding member of the medical team of the International Children’s Safety Service. In view of the epidemic situation, Dr. Béla Merkely, Rector presented the recognition to Dr. Zsuzsanna Tóth at the rector’s meeting room.
Based on the proposal of the Rector, the gold seal ring decorated with the coat of arms of Semmelweis University may be awarded to lecturers, who resign from their senior positions, and by the decision of the Senate in recognition of exemplary ethical conduct and activities.
