Six Hungarian universities have been included in the Times Higher Education’s The BRICS and Emerging Economies Rankings 2016. Among the Hungarian universities Semmelweis University is the best by occupying the 64th place of the list. The others are Eötvös Loránd University, the University of Szeged, the University of Pécs, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the University of Debrecen.
The ranking comparing the higher institutions of the emerging economies and the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) has been published for the third time. This year’s list is led by two Chinese universities (Peking University and Tsinghua University), and a Russian university (Lomonosov Moscow State University). The ranking includes 200 universities from 48 countries.
