For the first time, Semmelweis University was included in the U.S. News’ latest ranking of higher education institutions. The list is based on the academic reputation of the universities. All together there are 750 universities on this list where the first place is taken by Harvard University, second is Massachusetts Institute of Technology followed by the University of California, Berkeley. Universities of almost 60 countries were compared in the ranking, Semmelweis University taking the 736th place.
In making the list, the main factors were the results of Thomson Reuters’ global reputation survey, the number of research results and the articles published by the universities, and the number of students who have PHD degree.
