The Antall József Knowledge Centre, in collaboration with Corvinus University of Budapest, organised a conference aimed at strengthening the ties between Hungary and the Gulf Region. Entitled “Perspective on the Relations of the Gulf Region and Hungary”, the conference focused on opportunities for cooperation in the areas of economics and higher education.
Kuwait University’s delegation, which consisted of President Abdullatif Ahmad Al-Bader, Vice-President for Academic Affairs Firyal Bou-Rabee and Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, director of the President’s Office, held a meeting with Semmelweis University as part of their visit to Budapest. The Kuwaiti guests were received by Rector Ágoston Szél, Vice-Rector Mária Judit Molnár and Dr. Zoltán Zsolt Nagy, vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine. The meeting ended with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, laying the foundation for future collaborations.
Qatar University’s delegation, which had also come to Hungary in order to attend the conference, visited Semmelweis University as well. The university’s rector, Dr. Sheikha Al-Misnad and Vice-Rector Mazen Hasna were received by Rector Ágoston Szél and Vice-Rector Mária Judit Molnár.
