Dr. Tivadar Tulassay, rector of Semmelweis Univeristy has been elected an Active Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Rector Tulassay received his membership certificate at the Academy’s festive plenary session held on March 3, 2012, in Salzburg.
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts was officially founded in 1990. Its membership of over 1400 distinguished individuals includes His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI and 28 Nobel Prize laureates.
The Academy is comprised of seven classes, namely: Humanities; Medicine; Arts; Natural Sciences; Social Sciences/Law/Economics; Technical/Environmental Sciences; and World Religions.
