As part of his study trip to Europe, Dr. Quoc Trieu Nguyen, Vietnam’s Minister of Health visited Semmelweis University on the 23rd and 24th of May.
The two-day visit started off with a meeting between the Vietnamese ministerial delegation and the University’s leadership, led by Rector Dr. Tivadar Tulassay. Following an introduction to Semmelweis University by Vice-Rector Dr. Ágoston Szél, Dr. Vilmos Ivády, Director General of Finance, Investment and Operation summarised the University’s proposal for possible areas of collaboration with Vietnam.
During the second day, the Vietnamese visitors were given a tour of the University’s Heart Centre by Director Béla Merkely, accompanied by Hungary’s Minister of State for Health Dr. Miklós Szócska, and of the Health Management Training Centre by Director Péter Gaál.
