A temporary exhibit entitled, “From the Medical Faculty of Nagyszombat to Semmelweis University, 1769-2010” has opened in honour of the 240th anniversary of the founding of the Medical Faculty at the University of Nagyszombat. The exhibit, held in the Semmelweis Szalon, presents the 240-year history of formal medical training in Hungary through photographs, written documents and historical objects. A new historical overview has also been prepared for this occasion.
The exhibit is open to the public weekdays between 14:00 and 19:00 until 1 October 2010, so make sure you don’t miss this unique opportunity to get a glimpse into the University’s intriguing past!
Semmelweis Szalon is located on the 1st floor of the Central Building (Budapest, 1085, Üllői út 26).
