Dear IFMSA members from Africa and all over the world,

Together with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa (AFRO) located in Brazzaville, we are able today to provide amazing internship opportunities open to everyone to get a greater insight of the technical work of WHO.

Furthermore, the Country Health Emergency Preparedness & International Health Regulations (CPI) Department at the WHO AFRO Office has expressed interest in having IFMSA members with technical knowledge on disaster medicine (such as graduates from the IFMSA Training Disaster Medicine Trainers programme) apply as interns. For those of you who are interested, please find attached the Terms of Reference agreed upon with the CPI Department.

The procedure to apply is exclusively done through an online application via the new WHO e-Recruitement Systemhttps://tl-int.vcdp.who.int/careersection/ex/jobdetail.ftl?job=1702919&tz=GMT%2B01%3A00You do not need to send me any documents or notify me about your application.

Moreover, through the above-mentioned link, you will notice that you can also apply to all other departments available in the Regional Office, should you have other areas of interest.

This will hopefully make the WHO internship opportunities more affordable as the cost of living in Brazzaville is significantly cheaper than in Geneva. Even though this opportunity is mainly aimed at empowering our members from the African region, all members from all IFMSA regions can apply!

Please keep in mind that this opportunity will remain open until the 29th of November 2017!
