- EMSA Permanent Officer to the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) in Brussels,
- EMSA Representative to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Brussels.

- EMSA Permanent Officer to the
Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) in Brussels
The European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA) is calling for applicants to the position of EMSA Permanent Officer at the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) in Brussels. The duration of the contract is six months and takes place from September 1st, 2017, to February 28th, 2018.
Deadline: April 30th, 2017
Job Description:
- Placement in the CPME Office in Brussels, Belgium, for the duration of 6 months;
- Monitoring and reporting relevant European affairs;
- Running EMSA’s official office (answering and making official phone calls, receiving/sending emails on behalf of EMSA, maintaining the EMSA archive, hosting appointments, attending meetings in Brussels);
- Supporting the CPME Secretariat in processing documents, collecting information, maintaining the website, writing news, gathering information, preparing documents and surveys, assisting with projects and policy work;
- Co-organize CPME meetings and attend relevant European level meetings and conferences on behalf of CPME and/or EMSA and monitor ongoing relevant matters in the European Parliament, European Commission, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Medical student from EU member state;

- EMSA Representative to the
World Health Organization (WHO)
in Brussels
WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations that is concerned with international public health. The Brussels office is its official representation to the EU, with a function of liaising with all relevant EU stakeholders and keeping WHO Headquarters and regional offices in the center of the European health debate.
The European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA) is calling for applicants to the position of EMSA Representative to the WHO Office in Brussels. The duration of the internship is from 3 – 6 months.
Conditions:
- According to the rules and regulations of WHO, the internship is not remunerated.
- Applicants should be at least 21 years of age. Undergraduates are not eligible to apply.
- The intern will be based in the WHO office in Brussels, with their own workstation and all other office facilities. For the duration of the internship, they are part of the information network and IT system of WHO.
- WHO Brussels is looking for a medical doctor specialized in Public Health. This internship is starting on September 1st, 2017.
- In addition, medical students can apply for a WHO internship. Such interns will be starting after January 1st, 2018.

Summary of the position:
- The main objective of the internship is to provide a framework, where the educational experience of the intern can be enhanced through practical work assignments.
- The intern is expected to support the team in systematically gathering information regarding EU activities related to health. This will involve working on existing information tools, as well as developing new ones, which would put in place a scheme of standardized information monitoring and updating.
- The job requires identifying key actors at the EU institutions, key information sources, analyses of the information available and ability to summarize it in accordance to concrete needs of different target audiences. This will help stabilize and expand the information brokering and exchange function of the whole office.
What we offer:
- Interns are fully involved in all aspects of our work at the WHO representation to the EU.
- They are part of an international team that supports them in acquiring skills to work in an intergovernmental organization and hands-on knowledge of how major international actors and stakeholders inter-relate, at the European and global levels.
- Interns are given the opportunity to focus on research and analysis and writing up reports to support the communication activities of the office.
- They are also empowered with responsibilities to develop and manage portfolios of certain topics.
