Topics of the practical sessions:
- Introduction. The theory of stress. Psychophysiological foundations of stress.
- Awareness of thoughts and feelings, log-entry technique. Analysis of stressful situations. Techniques for reasoned decision making – I AM WORTH IT.
- Cognitive techniques to manage negative thoughts and feelings – Deflection Skills. Stress reduction techniques: relaxation, mindfulness.
- Creative problem solving. Conflict management.
- Assertive behavior 1. Formulation of requests. Assertive behavior 2. Saying No.
- Practice the previous skills. Effective communication techniques: Speaking up and listening.
- Empathy with groups and individuals. Improving personal effectiveness.
- Management of common stress situations during university studies: exams, patient care, working in teams.
- +1 class of 45’: Defining priorities. Overview of the learned skills. Summary and feedback. Written essay on what has been learned.
