Scholarship applications for instructors

The President of the Student Union, in agreement with the Chair of IÖCS, is announcing a call for applications for:
– the Gebin of the Year Award;
– the Letter of the Year Award;
– and the Most Outstanding Instructor Award.

Each of these awards, which were first established in 2021, is accompanied by a scholarship, by which IÖCS as an organization will directly reward the selfless and dedicated work of its most outstanding instructors.

 

 Awards: 

  1. The winner of the Gebin of the Year Award will receive a certificate of honor and a scholarship of 100,000 HUF, which will be made available to the chief of the gebin.
  2. The winner of the Letter of the Year Award will receive a certificate of honor and a scholarship of HUF 100,000, which will be made available to the head of the letter.
  3. The winner of the Most Outstanding Instructor Award will receive a certificate of honor and a scholarship of 100.000 HUF.

 

Eligible applicants:

  1. The Gebin of the Year category is open to any group of instructors who participated as a Gebin at any IÖCS event(s) in 2021.
  2. The Letter of the Year category is open to any group of instructors who participated as a letter.
  3. The Outstanding Instructor Award is open to all instructors who are students at Semmelweis University, were active in 2021, and who are not members of the IÖCS Board.

 

The application must include: 

  1. For the Gebin of the Year Award: please submit a .pdf document describing in a minimum of 100 words what you as the gebin have done for the IÖCS group, the freshmen, and fellow students, which makes you deserving of the award; please also include a list of names of each gebin member.
  2. For the Letter of the Year category: please submit a .pdf document describing in a minimum of 100 words what you as the letter have done for the IÖCS group, the freshmen, and fellow students, which makes you deserving of the award; please also include a list of names of each letter member. 
  3. In the category of Most Outstanding Instructor: please submit a .pdf document of your CV and an additional letter (minimum of 100 words) describing what you as an instructor have done for the IÖCS group, the freshmen, and fellow students, which makes you deserving of the award; please also include a separate document with the supporting signatures of 15 fellow instructors to apply for the award.

 

Deadline for application: 21 November 2021, 8 pm

How to apply: please submit electronically to hok.president@semmelweis-univ.hu and info@iocs.hu, indicating the title of the award and the applicant’s name in the subject line (e.g. “Letter of the Year – Letter A” / “Most Outstanding Instructor – John Example”).

Judging procedure: A student vote will be held – via an online platform – including all eligible applicants for each Award; this will occur once the application deadline has passed. For each of the three categories, the applicant with the most student votes will be the winner of the award and will receive the scholarship.
