The Institute of Languages for Specific Purposes, Semmelweis University would like to draw your attention to the following services, if you are interested in:
- studying languages, either with general or specific purposes (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences, nursing), either online or in-person,
- participating in group or one-to-one language courses, that are tailored to individuel needs or adjusted to your schedule, and English – as the language of intruction – is also available,
- finishing your language course with a succesful exam,
- working in English- and German-speaking countries, but you need to have an accredited and accepted language exam for the approbation process.
Language exams
GERMAN:
For working in Germany as a physican, you need a B2 exam in general German and a C1 telc Fachsprachprüfung exam in medical German.
For working in Germany as a nurse, you need a B2 exam in general German and a telc Pflege German language exam for nursing.

You can take the internationally accredited telc exams in English and German at levels B1, B2 and C1, several times a year at the Institute of Languages. Useful information:

FRENCH:
For approbation in French-speaking countries, you need a B1/B2/C1 DFP French medical language exam.
